When you hear the term power dialing, the general thought that comes to mind is Telemarketing, which usually has a negative connotation in the general population. However the use of autodialing goes far beyond the marketing world. In fact, quite a few common uses help us in ways we rarely think of. Let’s look a few of those uses:

Community organizers commonly use power dialing to inform their membership of upcoming social events and public forums. It’s a great way to keep in touch and participate in your community no matter how hectic modern day life gets.

Neighborhood watch groups use it to keep their community apprised of urgent communiques, like Amber Alerts and local police department notices.

Local media in areas that are prone to extreme weather conditions, like tornados, commonly use Robo-Dialing to warn the public of incoming disasters so they can take shelter as quick as possible.

Robo-dialing also includes IVR Surveys, which although commonly used for political polling, can also be used in communities to gauge event availability or public opinion on community projects.

With all these examples of how Robo-Dialing can be used to help communities and individuals to reach out to their neighbors and peers, you can see that the possibilities are endless. Now it’s up to you to find new ways to help your community by dialing responsibly!
