We at CallFire are known for our accessibility, user-friendliness, and efficiency-spiking platforms that help businesses make the best of their lead generation and cultivation departments. However, sometimes it can be easy to get lost among the acronyms and tech-speak.

APIs are a phenomenal tool for marketers in practice, but can be a little confusing for laypeople to understand in theory. API stands for Application Programming Interface, and is at its essence a middle step between individual marketers or companies, and online libraries of information and programs which allows for a shared use of resources.

For example, individual marketers and companies typically keep detailed client information. These marketers might use an API to connect with an online map and global positioning system and overlay their client information, allowing the marketer to produce a more detailed and specific client map than they would’ve been able to create on their own.

APIs allow individuals access to large online libraries of data and allow use of the data in a controlled environment, as an individual must be privy to the correct API to gain access to what he wants. Essentially, APIs act as keys to vast libraries of data that would otherwise be inaccessible.

CallFire features a full suite of APIs which allow you, the marketer, to reproduce our functionality within your own website and mobile applications, which means that our library is your library.
